OSA Seminars
The Ontario Soccer Association has annouced the following sessions.
The document provides a description of each of the six seminars being
offered this year at the OSA's annual soccer conference which is being held
at the Westin Bristol Place Hotel, 950 Dixon Road, Toronto Airport on the
November 8-9 weekend. The seminars are being presented Saturday afternoon
and Sunday morning. The target audience is Board members and
administrators of Clubs, Leagues and District Associations. So, we ask you
to forward this email and the attached document to all of your member
organizations and suggest that they forward it on to their Board members
and administrators.
We have lined up some excellent and high profile resource persons this year
in order to ensure the highest quality seminars.
Our feature seminar will be the Canadian Soccer Association Strategic Plan
Seminar at 9:00 am, Sunday, November 9. The Canadian Soccer Association
is sending its three highest officials: President Dominic Maestracci,
General Secretary Peter Montopoli and Technical Director Stephen Hart to
present the CSA plan. The presentation will last 45 minutes and will then
be followed by 45 minutes of questions and opinions from the audience.
With the recent announcement that the CSA is seeking a $5.00 per player fee
increase for the 2009 season, we are expecting some feedback from the
audience. In order to adequately control this session, the OSA has
enlisted the top North American parliamentarian, Jim Lochrie to moderate
the seminar. This is one seminar where the input of the audience will be
extremely important.
There is suggested reading for three of the seminars and it would be
beneficial if the persons attending these seminars did read these documents
or visit the website prior to the seminar. Please forward the following
