LDYSL Fair Play Code
The LDYSL Fair Play Code prescribes a code of conduct for coaches, players, and parents. This code is supported and enforced by the league under its rules and regulations. Violations of the fair play code reported to the LDYSL are investigated and adjudicated by a Fair Play Coordinator (FPC).
1. Process
1.1. Concerns over observed violation of the fair play code are documented using a Fair Play Incident Report. The completed form must be signed by the Club Representative and forwarded to the attention of the LDYSL secretary.
1.2. The LDYSL secretary assigns the complaint to a FPC representative for investigation. The representative investigates the complaint and submits written recommendations to the league secretary. The recommendations will outline the nature and degree of offense and prescribe remedies.
1.3. The LDYSL secretary distributes the FPC report to all parties to the issue for response and action.
1.4. There is a 10 day period for comment by club representatives to the FPC report.
2. Protests and Appeals
2.1. All protests and disputes to the FPC report are handled by a panel as per section 9.1 of the LDYSL rules and regulations.
2.2. The decision of the Fair Play Panel is rendered as per section 9.9 of the LDYSL rules and regulations.
2.3. Appeals of a Fair Play Panel decision follows section 9.10 of the LDYSL rules and regulations.
